Alt-F S   Alt F - S  Saving Documents as you Write, The Importance of Intermittent Save

One of the most important keyboard shortcuts is the intermittent save shortcut.  You can save a document in practically every Windows application by Alt-F S key combinations.  If you have ever lost time because you didn't save you document or spreadsheet intermittently (even though Microsoft Office intermittently saves them) then you will appreciate the value of this shortcut.  The file menu is selected by Alt-F key combination, and then next, press S and your active document will be saved.  If you haven't already named it you will need to give it a name initially and select a folder where to save it.  Once you get it down, you'll just include an intermittent save as habit.  It can save you time and valuable resources in the event of a PC lockup, a power outage or any other unknown occurrence.  Alt-F S.
